Workshop Goal

The goal of this workshop is to provide the resources, tools, technology skills and instructional strategies necessary to integrate technology into the daily curriculum by concentrating on curriculum first, technology second.  The workshop’s focus is on the Library Media Specialists who have had various experiences in using and integrating technology and the Internet. The modus operandi of the workshop is to embrace the “Train the Trainer” model by training a Library Media Specialist from various schools in the district to become better tech integrators and perhaps new site mentors.  After attending the workshop, these new mentors will return to their schools to share their experience with their colleagues, to provide training opportunities for others, to provide collaborative opportunities for others, and to coach others in how to effectively integrate technology and the Internet into daily classroom instruction.
